The boys’ basketball team are on fire winning 10 out of the 14 games this season.Currently, the team is in first place in the district with a record of 2-0.  On January 12, the team will play their next game at Franklin County. The following are the last three home games of this season: Grundy County on January 27, Franklin County on February 6, and Shelbyville on February 9.

Garrett Booth, Grey Riddle, Justin Jones, Russell Smythia, AJ Rollman, and De’Aaron Rozier are the captains of the team. Coach Micah Williams, exclaims,  “We have played well this year so far. I am extremely proud of the entire team. The guys play hard, compete, and always play together and play for one another.” At one of the recent home games against Lincoln County, Garrett Booth made a shot at the buzzer, winning  the game. Coming from behind to defeat Tullahoma on January 9, the team went ahead 43-42 with a layup by Darius Rozier and a game ending dunk by De’Aaron Rozier. 

The Columbia game, held on December 8th, was the team’s most difficult opponent, and was definitely a highlight of the season according to Coach Williams who stated, “We played extremely well together against a good opponent.”
