FBLA has some important competitions approaching. Students will be taking practice exams and practicing their presentations in order to prepare. Students compete in a variety of events ranging from health occupations to accounting. The regional competition will be at Forest Mill Church of Christ on January 30. Regionals is “a competition that students compete at to advance to the state leadership conference,” states Coffee County FBLA lead advisor, Mrs. Michelle Henley.

After regionals, qualifying students will advance to the state leadership conference where students will compete against schools across the state. The Dr. Bill Radcliff Scholarship is awarded to a high school senior planning to go to college to major in the business field. In the spring of 2017, 40 students qualified for the national leadership conference in Anaheim, California while competing at the estate leadership conference in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Any students interested in joining FBLA for the 2018-2019 school year are required to be enrolled in a business class for at least one semester for that school year.
