A Snowy Vacation

Every student hopes for snow days, and that is exactly what students at CCCHS were recently given.

CCCHS shut down for six consecutive days from Friday, January 12, to Friday, January 19. The cancellation began Friday morning due to a severe winter weather advisory. Monday, January 15, was a scheduled vacation day for Martin Luther King Day. The cancellations continued throughout the  week due to hazardous and icy road conditions as a result of two inches of snow that began falling Tuesday morning.

Waking up to a blanket of snow on Tuesday morning encouraged CCCHS students to photograph the winter wonderland. The snow continued to fall on Wednesday, January 17, creating the perfect landscape for taking photos. The fluffy snow completely melted by Friday; however, this “vacation” was certainly appreciated by the students at CCCHS.
