Closing Concert is a Sight to See

Sekota Chaput and Yanely Luna

Two bands will perform their final concert of the year on Tuesday, May 15 at 6:30 in the theater.

Both bands are created to provide varying levels of difficulty based on students’ abilities to play their instruments. Mr. Curley directs the first performing band, the symphonic band, and Mr. Rogers directs the wind ensemble, the second performing band.

Although the concert does not have a theme, it will include the following songs: “Shenandoah”, “Danzon no. 2”, “Commando March”, “an American Elegy”, “A Boy and A Girl”, and more.

Many solos will be played from seniors and juniors alike. Soloists include Katie Slabaugh on flute, Rachel Anderson on clarinet, Alex Baldwin on saxophone, Colter Smith on trumpet, Ashley Meadows on trumpet, Joel Morgan on trumpet, and Wesley Wilson on euphonium.

The bands have worked hard to curate this final performance.
