The Lady Raiders claimed the district championship title on Friday, May 11, against Lincoln County. With two previous wins over Lincoln County, the Lady Raiders went in with a positive mindset. The athletes were able to hit Lincoln’s pitches and had a phenomenal defensive performance. The two teams kept it close with back and forth scoring throughout the entire game. The Lady Raiders eventually came out on top with a 10 to 6 win. This made it their 4th win in a row which earned the Lady Raider the district title. This makes Coach Brandon McWhorter the first coach from Coffee County to win a district championship in his or her first year of coaching.

Monday, May 14, the Lady Raiders won their first regional game as well at home against Smyrna. Wednesday night they defeated Lincoln County 4-3 to be named regional champions. The Lady Raiders are set to host Walker Valley on Friday, May 18, at 7:00 p.m. A win will give the team a birth to the TSSAA state tournament for the second consecutive year.
