Tullahoma Keeps the Coffee Pot

Jake Melton, Sports Editor

The Raider football team suffered a hard loss at Tullahoma, on August 24. After losing three D1 prospects (Alontae Taylor, Colton Prater, and Cameron West) along with another possible D1 prospect, Hayden Skipper, due to his pursuit of baseball, football has entered into a rebuilding phase. By the end of the first quarter one could predict how the game would go. In addition to playing Tullahoma, the Raiders also competed with the referees. The first half of the game was full of penalties against the Raiders. Many times, penalties such as pass interference by the Wildcats were ignored by the refs. In the last quarter the Raiders were able to score and make a two point conversion. The Wildcats kept the Coffee Pot with a final score of 48-8. The Red Raiders will face off against Blackman at Carden-Jarrell Field, Friday August 31.
