Midnight Madness is a tradition that the CCCHS softball team has participated in since 1994. As a result of this tradition, the lady raiders held their twenty-fifth annual midnight practice on February 12. Midnight Madness is a night in February where the Lady Raiders go out at 12:00 a.m. and practice. The reason for practicing in the middle of the night is because this is the first official day of practice. Therefore, the team gets together and holds their first practice of the season. Senior Lauren Tomberlin states her favorite thing about Midnight Madness, “It’s a tradition and it’s unique to us. No other sport does what we do; it shows quite a bit of dedication to be outside at midnight to practice. It’s a great way to come together and start every season in a fun way.” The players are required to be at school the next day as a result of being able to keep this tradition.

The first home game will be on March 12 at 7:00 at Terry Floyd Field. Come out and support the Lady Raiders softball team.
