Fundraising Time at CCCHS: Donate to MDA Today!

Ms. Angela Prater is selling biscuits and shamrocks to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

Muscular Dystrophy covers many neuromuscular diseases that weakens people’s muscles and lessens their ability to walk, breathe, or dress themselves independently.  MDA provides resources to find treatments and cures for these life threatening diseases.

DECA is an international association of marketing students. Ms. Prater said that DECA contributes to MDA as its service project each year. They have worked with MDA for 17 years, since 2001.

Because DECA has repeatedly worked with MDA, a representative from MDA contacts Ms. Prater each year and coordinates the shamrock sale. DECA also sells Hardee’s biscuit to contribute more to the MDA cause.

Shamrocks are on sale until March 2.  Ms. Prater encourages all students  to donate to this cause and add their name to the wall outside the bookstore.
