The spring tennis season will soon begin for the CCCHS tennis team!

On March 12, the season will start off with a match against Giles County. The tennis team has been honing their skills in the off-season. After having open-court matches during the summer and fall, Coach Ray has evaluated the members based on their skill for maximum effectiveness in competition. Eleventh grader, Kara Roper, remarked “The team prepares for the season by having matches against each other, conditioning, and improving skills such as serving and returning.”

Coach Ray is optimistic for the upcoming months: “We are looking forward to district championships this year. Our girls team did not make it to semifinals last year, so that’s what we are shooting for.” Last season, the boy’s tennis team made it to the region four AAA tournament in Murfreesboro but lost to Oakland.
