Bop Bop Bop To The Top — Celebrating CCCHS’s Top Ten Percent
March 13, 2018
CCCHS held its top ten percent banquet Monday, Mar. 5.
When asked about future tips for achieving valedictorian, Briana Cardenal stated, “The hardest part was overcoming procrastination. Even though grades no longer count towards rank for the second semester of senior year, do not stop working hard. That goes for everyone since those grades still matter for college.” She also said to,”Be humble.”
Salutatorian Michelle Dong also stated, “Be humble about it, or you’ll have no friends. Be proud of it, but don’t be arrogant, and it does not mean that suddenly everyone likes you and wants your attention and needs to know everything about you or your life or your opinion on everything. You may be a big hit with your classmates the first few days after the announcement — and appreciate that while you can — but otherwise stay humble, continue working in silence, and finish the school year strong.”
