While the Lady Raiders’ softball team kept an overall season record of 21 and 20,  they made a comeback near the end by winning the last 6 of 7 games. The Lady Raiders were one win away from reaching the TSSAA spring fling state tournament. They were defeated by Walker Valley 8-5 Friday, May 18, in the state sectional at Terry Floyd Field. They held Walker Valley 5-4 until Walker Valley put took the lead in the final inning and, unlike the last few games, the Lady Raiders were unable to rally from behind. However, finishing as regional champs, they showed a great deal of talent and heart!
