Don’t Break the Bank for Fall Break Fun!
September 25, 2018
Fall break is approaching rapidly. If students are looking for something to do during that blissful time, Tennessee has much to offer. Tennessee is full of state parks and waterfalls, so there are plenty of great outdoor options. Old Stone Fort State Park is clearly an option due to its locality; however, other options like Tims Ford State Park and Fall Creek Falls also stand out because of amazing views, and activities. Tims Ford offers boating, fishing, golfing, and hiking. Boasting one of the highest waterfalls in the eastern United States, Fall Creek Falls offers rock-climbing, hiking, fishing, and more. Another great location for those less interested in parks is Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Locations such as Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, and Ripley’s Aquarium Of The Smokies attract visitors from all over the country. Tennessee also offers unique underground entertainment. Literally underground, Ruby Falls is a 145 foot waterfall near Lookout Mountain, which is another great place to visit. Another great underground attraction is Cumberland Caverns. Cumberland Caverns is the second longest cave in Tennessee, offering walking tours, overnight caving, and even live events at a concert hall in the caves. For students who are less interested in the great outdoors and more interested in unlocking doors, Tennessee offers several local escape games to cater to their kinda-niche-but-also-semipopular desires. An escape game is an attraction where participants put their heads together to try to solve a series of puzzles to unlock the door and escape in either 30 minutes or an hour. Popular locations include The Escape Game Nashville and Locked: Escape Game Murfreesboro.
