Let’s Grow Tennessee!

CCCHS Interact Club will be participating in the 250k Tree Day. 250K Tree Day is the largest tree-planting effort in the United States. The planting project aims to promote and educate the public on the benefits trees provide to Tennessee’s public health and natural resources.

Two hundred and fifty thousand native tree seedlings will be planted across all 95 Tennessee counties on February 23, 2019. Everyone is encouraged to participate even if he or she does not live in Tennessee. The trees are planted to both enhance the environment and communities.

A bundle of four trees is $8.69 and includes a red oak,  a pine, a fruit or flowering tree and a redbud. Orders will be picked up on February 23 between 9 a.m.-11 a.m. at the CCCHS bus loading zone. For more information on how to purchase trees please contact Ms. Perry or visit https://www.tectn.org/250ktreeday.html.
