FCCLA officers decided to hold a first responders breakfast on the  January 24, and 30,  2019.  The officers are president, Allie Robinson; vice-president, Anna O’Connor; senior representative, Taylor Koon, and community service coordinator, Josie Watson. They chose to do this to recognize those who risk their lives day and night to make sure that their communities are safe. The breakfast was free to all first responders from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on both days.

Preparations for the breakfast began a week prior costing the club around $950. Thirty members helped in the preparation of muffins, scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, biscuits, sliced bananas, home fries and sautéed mushrooms. There was also a coffee bar and a variety of other drinks available. Nearly 65 first responders  from the police departments, fire station, ambulance service, and the local med-evac station were served and appreciated by FCCLA. There are hopes of continuing the breakfast in the coming years.
