Interact Attends Annual Conference
March 13, 2019
On March 1, the Interact club traveled to Pigeon Forge to attend their annual conference. Other schools from several counties in Tennessee also made the trip to attend the meeting. The conference lasted for three days and was held at the Ramsey Hotel and Convention Center.
Every year, the Interact club designs and creates their own t-shirts and name tags. This year, CCCHS scored third place in both categories. In addition to these contests, there were also community service specific awards, as well as multiple scholarship opportunities.
Some activities during conference include the Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Feud, Smokey Mountain Opry, student showcase talent show and a banquet attended by students and sponsors.
Any student interested in joining Interact next year should contact Ms. Perry in room 117. To attend conference, club members must be present at at least five meetings and participate in one fundraiser and one community service project.
