For the annual spring musical, Coffee County Central High School will be presenting Peter Pan on March 6, 7 8 and 13, 14 and 15.

Performances on Saturdays and Fridays will be at 7 p.m. while Sunday performances will be at 2 p.m.

Tickets will be 9 dollars for students and seniors and 12 dollars for adults. They will be sold at the door or can be reserved by emailing [email protected].

Jonathan Higdon, a teacher in the theater department, directed Peter Pan this spring. He is excited about the opportunity to showcase the cast’s talents and hardwork.

When asked about the strengths the play has he said, “This is one of the best groups we’ve worked with, and they are knocking it out of the park every single night. It’s gonna be a whole lot of fun.”

The main characters are played by the following students: Sara Thomas as Peter Pan, Andie Clutter as Wendy Darling, Matthew Miller as John Darling, Brooke Sanders as Michael Darling, and District Attendance Director Keith Cornelius as Captain Hook.

Thomas mentioned she’s most anxious for the audience to see the advances in technology the performance will have.

She states, “We have lots of new technical aspects this year from new choreographers, to a beautiful set, gorgeous lights, an amazing stage manager, stage hands, director, and flying!”

Besides the technical aspect, Thomas has been dedicated to playing the iconic role of Peter Pan. When asked about the challenges of this role she expressed, “…With his crazy energy and boyish spunk, he has been the most physically demanding role I’ve ever played!”

According to her, the cast’s bond with one another has greatly impacted the musical to create a fun, unique experience that should not be missed!
