The Red Raider Band played their first public performance this season, and it was a good one.
In preparation for the football season, they have been working on their show, Breakout by Randall Standridge, since July. This was the first performance under new director, Gavyn Frankenfield.
Normally, the band plays towards the home side line, but this performance was different: the band was going to play towards the visitor’s side, the side our team was on.
“I know how good you are, they don’t yet. Let’s make a good first impression and show them how good you are,” Frankenfield said to the band, moments before they entered the field.
The Red Raider Band entered the field and performed their show, much to the admiration of the crowd, who hadn’t heard the band in almost a year. The difference was staggering, now CCCHS has a band to be proud of.
