Bell Buckle is one of the smallest, yet most historic towns located in Bedford County, Tenn. With just a little over four hundred people in the population miniscule compared to surrounding towns. However, on the third weekend of every October, people from all over the state join together for a very well-known and loved event. That event is the Bell Buckle Arts and Craft Festival.
The fair began in 1976 and quickly became one of Middle Tennessee’s most enjoyed events. With that being said, this year’s craft fair will be the 47th annual festival, hosted this weekend; Oct. 21 through Oct. 22.
The majority of people, unless they are local, only know of Bell Buckle because of this craft fair. However, every year the small streets and open fields of Bell Buckle are packed full of people of all ages, enjoying the events.
The fair is open on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It consists of fifteen or more sweet and savory food vendors, along with handmade arts and crafts booths. Such booths may carry pottery, woodwork, metal works, jewelry, textiles, and old-fashioned soaps or lotions. In addition to handmade items, people can also find sports merchandise, fall clothing, and any holiday decorations imaginable through sales merchandisers who represent certain brands.
Whether you enjoy crafts or just want to experience one of Middle Tennessee’s most appreciated festivals, find your way to the 2023 Bell Buckle Craft Fair. To enjoy all the best foods while harmlessly shopping in the cool, fall breeze.
