Exam week is coming right around the corner for students enrolled in the Coffee County school system, and now is a great time to begin reviewing the material you’ll need to know for your exams.
Studies have shown that while it is tempting to put off studying until the night before–or morning of, if you’re especially risky–cramming all the information at once is a bad technique. Choose instead to study consistently!
To study consistently is setting yourself up for success; begin reviewing the information you’ll be tested on as soon as three weeks in advance, and try to study around the same time every study session! That way, it will be easier to get into the habit of studying the information.
Try to break the information down! If you can remember Christopher Columbus by ocean and ship, you can relate energy to ability and work!
Flashcards are always a useful tool as well, but they don’t work for everyone. Try to cater to your learning type when studying, maybe take a test online to learn what that is!
Be sure to take breaks often and stay hydrated! A happy mind is a happy time.
Good luck with your exams, Coffee County students!
