Thanksgiving, as most everyone knows, is observed on the fourth Thursday of November. Families from all around the United States gather to celebrate and spend time with their loved ones on this day every year.
Thanksgiving can be such a hassle for many of us. Whether it’s packing for a big trip or preparing the turkey for Thanksgiving dinner.
We create memories in the process, however, all thanks to this special holiday, whether it’s spending time together in the car or having the kids assist the parents in preparing Thanksgiving dinner.
Perhaps it’s the food you like to consume that causes you to love Thanksgiving; take your grandmother’s amazing apple pie, for example.
Tori Semelroth, junior, explained why she loves Thanksgiving in an interview. She mentioned that it was a custom from her family. Who doesn’t enjoy a nice tradition?
Semelroth’s relatives used to come visit the old farm house where she was raised in North Carolina. “It is a fun way to get together with family and enjoy a big meal together,” Semelroth explained in the interview.
There are so many aspects to Thanksgiving; we focus on all the big things when we really need to focus on the little things.
Thanksgiving is about bringing us closer together every moment. It is for that alone that we should give thanks.
