Spring is coming up, and, as we know, Easter is coming too! Oftentimes, the little ones are very excited. Typically parents want to keep this day fun for them, but the only activity they can think of is an Easter egg hunt. As much fun as that is, it ends pretty quickly for the kids.
So, to keep things interesting and people entertained, here are five extra activities for you to try with the kids this upcoming Easter.
If it is not already part of your usual traditions, you can try decorating eggs with your children. Honestly, children don’t have to be the only ones that decorate. This can be an activity for both the parents and children.
It’s pretty simple, really, all you need to do is boil eggs, provide various colors of paints, brushes, and you’re all set! This allows your child to also let their creativity out.
If you have a big family or are hosting an Easter event, Easter bingo might be a great activity for everyone.
You can buy, print, or even make your own bingo set. It’s a good way to get the whole crowd involved, and let’s be honest, who doesn’t like bingo?
If you love to garden and plant, a nice activity you can do is plant some colorful flowers in your yard or garden. It lets children have fun out in the sun and just enjoy the outdoors with friends and family.
This next one can be for a small gathering or even a big group as well. You can host a spoon race this Easter. Once again, this is one of those activities for everyone, and to make things interesting you can add a prize for the winner of the race.
Last but not least: baking. If you have some kids at home who aren’t too outdoorsy or just prefer to be at home you can bake Easter inspired treats with them. Whether it is egg shaped cookies or a colorfully decorated cake, the kids will have fun just being able to participate in the process.
No matter what you decide to do this upcoming holiday, just spending time with the family is enough for the young ones.
