Meet the New House Blend: Mr. Curley

Halli Richards and Ann Petty

New addition -Mr.Curley- teaches the art of music at CCCHS.

Mr. Curley came to Tennessee from Connecticut in 2013 to become a graduate assistant who taught band and percussion at MTSU. Later, he taught two years of music at Hillsboro Elementary.

Mr. Curley expresses that CCCHS, compared to the other places he has encountered, allows educators to teach pretty much how they want. He claims that he brings more passion than most teachers, setting him apart from the crowd. Mr. Curley loves to share music with as many people as he can, and that is also the reason he became a teacher.  Along with guitar, he also teaches band and visual arts. He says that something that is little known to his students is that he is a really good cook. His life motto is “to never give up,”and he tries to apply that in his teaching and his everyday life.

Ultimately, Mr. Curley is a welcome addition to the Central Coffee County High School staff and family and a wonderful asset to the band program.
