Coffee County Central High School Senior Jayden Carter is a multi-sport Red Raider athlete. Carter has been a three-year starter for the Coffee County Red Raider football and basketball teams. Carter is recorded as being a 7-time Player of the Game in football, serving as a linebacker and running back. This season alone, Carter had 69 solo tackles, 91 total tackles, 4 sacks, 3 interceptions, 1 caused fumble, and 3 fumble recoveries.
Jayden Carter has been an outstanding student athlete, sh0wing success on and off the field or court. Sports Editor Simeon Alphonse had the opportunity to talk with this student athlete, digging deep into what makes him such a passionate player and what drives him to work hard.
- What are your goals after high school?
- JC :Going on to play ball somewhere or going on to be an electrician.
- JC :Going on to play ball somewhere or going on to be an electrician.
- Do you plan on playing football or basketball after high school?
- JC:If I get more offers for football, I would like to play at the college level.
- What is your dream school to play for?
- JC: Alabama. Roll Tide, baby!
- What is your favorite sports memory?
- JC: Probably beating Blackman this past season.
- What is your biggest aspiration or dream? If anything could come true what would it be?
- JC: Leaving an impact on the younger underclassman and making an difference in the sports program at CCCHS.
- Do you see any underclassman that could be up-and-coming behind you and help carry our team to another successful season?
- JC: Definitely Hank Crabtree.
- Is there anyone in life that pushes you the hardest to become better in everything you do?
- JC: I would have to say my dad, but I’m also old enough now where I try to push myself to prove to myself.
Jayden Carter strives to be a good influence on the underclassman. At the end of the day, he just wants to cause a change in culture when it comes to student athletes.
