Mrs. Dorothy Pedigo is retiring this year after 37 years of teaching all math subjects, minus statistics. Her experience has encompassed every grade from seventh to twelfth. Her main reason for retiring is time with family — especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Pedigo stated that her most memorable experience was has having two teams, Algebra Ⅰ and Ⅱ, win first place at the Tennessee Mathematics Teachers Association Math Contest, and in 2005, every student who took the AP calculus test passed. Some of these students included Mr.Kittenger, Mrs. Melson’s husband, Nathan, and Mrs. Thorington’s daughter, Kimberly.

She advises students who want to be teachers that they need to love their subjects and students.

Although it is unknown who is going to take her spot, Mrs. Pedigo will never be replaced in our hearts.
