Special needs students warmed up with the softball team before the varsity game against Shelbyville on April 10 at 7 p.m.

Three years ago, Mrs. Dobson approached then coach, Steve Wilder, with the idea of letting the special needs kids warm up with the softball team before one of their games. Wilder, who worked with special education, was excited at the chance to give back to them and quickly agreed. On this day, each student was called out individually and had the chance to throw the ball around with the team. Current coach, Brandon McWhorter, wanted to continue this special tradition, and expressed his gratitude to Mrs. Dobson.

Thanks to Mrs. Dobson for setting it up and I hope to continue this in the future”

— Coach McWhorter
