Mrs. Shana Morris, who teaches Spanish II, is one of the newest Spanish teachers at CCCHS. Mrs. Morris previously taught in Grundy County, and this will be her fifth year teaching high school.

Mrs. Morris holds a bachelor’s degree in foreign language, a master’s degree in Hispanic studies, and an education specialist degree in education curriculum and instruction. Mrs. Morris says her experience at CCCHS has been smooth, her students have been very receptive, and she “doesn’t feel like an outsider.” When asked what her expectations for her students were, Mrs. Morris replied, “Beyond the obvious effort and politeness and all those other good things, I want them to talk. I want them to be able to communicate, and I want them to be able to use the language ‘in the wild’.” Mrs. Morris says that her favorite part of teaching Spanish is “the connection with other human beings” that she might not get teaching a class with a different subject. Outside of school, Mrs. Morris enjoys hiking, cycling and traveling. CCCHS welcomes Mrs. Morris.
