On Friday, August 31, our school and community lost an amazing person, Austin P. Davis. He was a seventeen year-old  senior at CCCHS who died from a shooting accident. He was an outgoing, funny, sweet,  and kind person. This tragedy has opened so many people’s eyes and made them realize anything can happen any second of their lives, and to be grateful for those in their lives. Many hearts were broken because of one mistake; life can end just like that. August 31, 2018, has left a permanent mark in our hearts forever.

Austin loved horseback riding, hunting, fishing, and frog gigging. He also enjoyed playing basketball, working on trucks, and hanging out with his friends.

There was a candlelight vigil honoring Austin orchestrated by Kaitlyn Baltimore Sunday at 7:00 p.m. The ceremony was attended by more than 200 people including family, friends, faculty members, and administration.

Austin will be missed greatly.
