Following the recent devastation caused by Hurricane Michael, SkillsUSA members Destiny Grissom, Colton Kerber and Brianna Gawrys are gathering donations to help those in need. They are asking for basic necessities such as food, clothing, hygiene products and baby wipes or diapers. Students can drop items off in boxes labeled “Hurricane Michael Donations” that are set up all around the school.

Currently, personal care items and baby food donations are especially needed as a surplus of clothing and canned foods have been collected. Donations are set to end on November 2, but that date is subject to change if items are still needed.

Once collected, the items will be shipped to Florida and dispersed at the appropriate locations. All students and faculty are encouraged to donate to those affected by Hurricane Michael.
