Jake Melton, Sports Editor

On Tuesday, October 30, the honors chemistry students had the opportunity to attend an assembly with Dr. Jacqueline Johnson and her assistants. Dr. Johnson is a UTSI scientist who studies the properties of glasses, glass-ceramics, and carbon films. The students were informed about the properties of glass-like substances. Additionally, the students engaged in hands on learning. The activities included making candy and creating ion models. The students thank Dr. Johnson for her visit and her time.
