The boys’ basketball team’s first practice started October 29. They have two home games on November 17- one at 4:30 against Huntland and then at 7:30 against Moore County. The assistant coaches are Micah Williams is the head coach and Andrew Taylor, Chris Rudolf, Derek Jones are the assistant coaches. Coach Williams says “My hopes for this season are to compete, work hard, and get better each and every day. If we do these things, we will put ourselves in a position to reach our goal and that’s to be district champions.”

The team hopes to be better than last season when they finished with a record of 19-10. They will be a senior led team, and one of their returning players Darius Rozier has received  at least two college offers and has gained some interest from many other schools. Coach Williams also says “I’m extremely excited about this year’s team. I love the group of guys that I have. They work hard, compete and push each other to become better players. It’s truly a blessing to be their coach.”
