Jacey Vaughn hits free throws to put the game into overtime.

Both the Lady Raiders and the Red Raiders defeated Tullahoma on Tuesday, January 8. For the Lady Raiders, the final score was 62-55.  With the Lady Raiders down by two points with three seconds left in the game, Jacey Vaughn was fouled. At the line, she hit her first free throw, missed the second, then sank her last shot despite the immense pressure putting the game into overtime. Vaughn immediately hit a 3 pointer which gave the Lady Raider the mental confidence to pull away. Vaughn finished with 21 points, followed by Bella Vincent with 18 points.

The Red Raiders won with a final score of 45-42.  The Raiders led  on the scoreboard for the majority of the game. With 2:35 on the clock, Darius Rozier drove down court for a dunk putting Coffee up by five points. The Wildcats rallied for 2 points in the last 15 seconds, but the Raiders’ defense outplayed Tullahoma sealing the win for Coffee County. The teams begin a six game home series on Friday, January 11.
