Studies show America is only one inspirational post away from ending injustice

Social scientists have made a shocking discovery in the past hour. According to real analysts with very real degrees, America is only one social media post away from demolishing racism, sexism, and all other forms of injustice.

James Carlile, a researcher and analyst from the Scientific Organization for Real Research (SORR), has been working tirelessly for the better half of a month, and he has come across a startling realization: social media is solving literally every societal problem that America has faced.

“At first, I tried to study what was really causing the problems of society, what was at the core of each individual’s potential bias against a people group, the challenges faced by citizens regardless of class, and the fears lying in the hearts of the American people. But that turned out to be really hard, so I just started to look at generalized representations across the media.”

Carlile, scouring the internet for angry tweets and comments on controversial memes, found that for each blatantly disrespectful comment or dissonant criticism, there was at least one social media post somewhere on the internet that really put things in perspective.

“If my findings are correct, as you would expect research of at least two weeks to be, there is a clear pattern in the data,” said Carlile. “Social justice warriors across the states have been curing the country of its toxicity one Facebook rant at a time, and I believe that we are only one post away from achieving a utopia.”

For so long, the majority of the American people had believed that social issues would have to be solved by healing relationships with each other through individual heart-changes and interactions. Thank goodness we have been freed from this burden of having to work to fix our own problems.

Carlile later commented, “I suspect the contributing factors to this nation-wide healing to be ambiguously-worded Twitter posts, copy-and-paste Facebook statuses, and most importantly, aesthetically pleasing but passive-aggressive Instagram stories.”

At present, Carlile and his very dedicated, and very understaffed, research team have reassured the American people that all we have to do now is wait until one more inspiring post is shared to a tween’s Instagram story, launching America into an eternity of peace, prosperity, and equal opportunity.
