The Phoenix Suns were on a three game win streak with Kevin Durant. They defeated the Charlotte Hornets, Chicago Bulls, and the Dallas Mavericks. In those three games Durant averaged 26.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.6 assists.

Since his Suns’ debut on March 1, Durant seems to be fitting in well with the new team. “I feel like I fit in pretty well,” Durant said. “Everybody out there was trying to make me as comfortable as possible – coaches and players as well. So, I’ve just got to keep grinding. This jersey will start to look normal on me as games go on, as we start to keep building who we are as a team.”

Devin Booker and Durant have quickly acclimated to their new duo. The two have a combined 188 points together in their first three games. They combined a total of 38 rebounds, 34 assists, and seven blocks. It is safe to say Durant is meeting the fans’ expectations.

Although the Suns were having an amazing time with Durant, they were met with an unfortunate situation. Durant slipped and rolled his ankle during a warm up against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He suffered a left ankle sprain and will be re-evaluated in three weeks.

With Durant out, the Suns still rolled the Thunder in a 132-101 win. Booker seems optimistic about the situation, saying, “He’s in good spirits, that’s all that matters to me. The rehab process starts now.”

Without Durant the Suns have won one game and lost the past three games. They lost against the Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors, and the Milwaukee Bucks. Most Suns fans are not worried because their star player Booker averaged 33.5 points in the last four games without Durant.

If the healing process happens uninterrupted, the earliest fans could see him play against the Denver Nuggets on March 31. If the healing is delayed, the wait could extend to April. The Suns’ season ends on April 9 against the Los Angeles Clippers. Although, Durant missing the rest of the season due to his injury seems unlikely.
