Lady Raider Soccer “Get Their Hearts in the Game”

The Lady Raider Soccer team finished the regular season as district champs, but finished second in the district tournament losing to Lincoln County. Winning the district championship was nothing short of difficult. The team worked very hard every practice to accomplish that goal. Placing second in the tournament was a disappointment, and senior Maddie Creek explains that their biggest challenge was finishing the ball. “We were heartbroken to stop where we did.”

Maddie leaves this with her teammates: “I speak for all of the seniors when I say we want the underclassmen to know the most important lesson you can learn from making it to district is that we did not show enough heart and present ourselves the way we should have on our last district game. With this being said, lesson 1: Teamwork, Heart, and determination are what wins the game.”

However, the seniors saw many positives from the season including a district championship and  memories that will last a lifetime. The team ends a great season with 10 wins, 4 losses, and 2 ties. District awards were presented to the following players:
