Dec. 25th is a day which people around the world eagerly wait for each year. It’s a day full of presents and glee.

With Christmas, you get decorations for days, but when is the right time to decorate for the holiday season?

Some Christmas trees and garlands are put up Nov. 1, most are put up after Thanksgiving, and some not at all. So when is just the right time for holiday cheer?

An article by shutterfly states, “No matter which Christmas decoration ideas you have, the ideal time to decorate for Christmas is the weekend of Thanksgiving. If you’re still wondering how early is too early, stick to the rule that putting up Christmas decorations anytime before Halloween is too early,” and I would wholeheartedly agree.

If you are prepared for Christmas before the spooky season is over, frankly, I do not trust you. Along with that, by decorating for Christmas before Thanksgiving, you are skipping over a whole holiday.

Thanksgiving is about giving thanks, spending time with family, and eating good food, and it deserves to be celebrated.

Getting excited for the upcoming holiday is normal, but by putting up the wreaths, ornaments and lights, you will be tired of the holly jolly season before it even gets here.

I propose to decorate the first weekend of December, although, I may be biased because my birthday falls on the last day of November.

By decorating on the first, you have the whole month of December to celebrate Christmas and all its glory!

I hope you have the best Christmas season, with the tree put up at a reasonable time of course. Have a great Christmas!
